TEMOS provides two communication platforms for it's members to perform videoconferences or teleconsultations (second opinion) including transfer of medical data with the TEMOS Telemedicine Expert Center or between members of the TEMOS-Network: 1. H.320/H.323 hardware based video conferencing, compatible with existent video conferencing systems like e.g. TANDBERG or POLYCOM solutions. Communication up to now is possible from point to point between two partners directly via ISDN or over IP-based networks (e.g. Internet). 2. Software based video conferencing with the EasyMeeting client-server-solution where users only have to install the free client software and connect to the EasyMeeting server of the TEMOS-network. This solution is multipoint capable, up to 8 users can connect at the same time. EasyMeeting works over IP-based communication channels like Internet or satellite links at a minimum bandwidth of 128 kbit/sec (up- and downstream).
